Did You Know: Musicians was created by Caleb Hysell in 2023 to make fans more knowledgeable about their favorite musicians. While this is still true, it has slowly evolved into a multimedia platform where any artist, writer, or creator can eventually find ways to work with the musicians they would like to.
In 2023, Caleb presented this idea to his friend and our co-owner, Lillian. They decided to create an account dedicated to an artist they both enjoyed at the time, AJR, and built a somewhat large following of nearly 3k followers across various platforms. Making lasting connections within the community helped progress the project.
As time went on, both Caleb and Lillian grew out of AJR and found new music, both delving into new tastes. For Caleb, this was mainly an artist named Thomas Ison, whose stage name is Ricky Jamaraz, whom he had known about but really started to delve into in late 2023.
Caleb’s interest in Tom’s music spurred to an explosive point in 2024 when he got to interview him about his upcoming album Return To Zero. At this point, Caleb was completely enamored in what he was doing and decided to pursue music-related media as his major in university (Creative Media Production).
Once Caleb got to university, he got the opportunity to interview and work with a few local bands, Ricky again, and a venue hosting AJR. This work is listed here:
